What to Eat and What to Wear

The sneakers were chatting with the socks
How about some bagels and lox?
But the socks were none to keen
They wanted their wearer to be lean.

The sneakers agreed with that
Though thought that if their owner were fat
That then they would hardly be used
And their lining would not be abused.

The conversation continued like that
With each tit followed by a tat
Then finally they each could root
On giving their wearer the boot.
