Guest Post at WAC@Illinois

I was asked to write a guest post for the Writing Across the Curriculum Blog and it is now available.  A snip is below.

I am grateful to Andrea Olinger, who edited the post and made the final product better.  I like to think of myself as an easy going guy, but it turns out that I defend my own prose as if it's a death match.  I'm also so used to simply have my way by posting to this blog that I've kind of forgotten what it is like to negotiate text with an editor. It's a good thing to go through now and then, though I'm thankful I no longer have to live in the world of publish or perish.
